What is an RFV?

The acronym RFV stands for Risk-Free Value, which is a separate wallet in AAP system.

The Athena Risk Free Value is an important component of the Athena Autostaking Protocol.

Athena’s RFV is inspired by Titano’s system. It is a separate wallet that collects funds in order to support and stabilize the Liquidity pool. This is especially useful in the event of a sharp sell-off, which could deplete a liquidity pool. This can cause issues because liquidity is what allows the Athena token to be bought and sold. The RFV acts as a liquidity reserve, preventing this from occurring during a sharp sell-off.
